What Amazon Fulfillment Is And It’s Business Opportunity?

This to me is the perfect time for me to talk about how you never want to follow what the masses are doing.
By now you have probably noticed that all the Amazon FBA Gurus out there seem to pushing the same get-rich-quick programs. As we have seen time and time again it’s safe to say that we will start seeing many people selling the same product and using the same techniques and strategy’s as everyone else.
As of right now the current trend everyone is using is private labeling, using Amazon FBA. I will outline the common process in this courses here:
Step one is to identify a high-selling products using BSR (best seller rank), after this you want to check the competitiveness of other players in this niche by looking at the number of reviews.
Step two is to really think about only consider selling products which are lightweight and very easy to ship, not breakable, keep it within a certain price range, and that has mass-market appeal.
Step three is to find a manufacturer in China using Alibaba. One doesn’t have to invent a brand new product, all you need to do is make some small changes to an existing product that is already out, make sure you change the color, as to ‘differentiate’ your product.
Step four is to simply import and sell the product via FBA.
I am giving you the simplified version of this process, but I will outline the process that most people are following at this time and getting excellent results from.

So why not think outside the box and try things that others are not doing with Amazon Fulfillment?

-Instead of just looking for products in Chinese factories on the perversely mentioned Alibaba, why not start looking else where for manufacturing of your product. By doing this you can have them make you something different that hasn’t been seen before. Also, at the same time not have to worry about having your idea/product ripped off by a Chinese manufacturer.
-Instead of only looking for smaller and light products, why not also look for some larger more heavier products that might be a little more tricky to ship. Of course these products can be more profitable, but most other people are very reluctant to sell them.
-Remember if you have the time and the drive you can create your very own product and cut out the manufacturing cost completely.
-Don’t just look at mass products, meaning you don’t have chose a product that is used by millions of people in order to make money. One can start looking at UN-sexy niches like industrial products or even medical goods. I know for a fact most people don’t even consider using a private label product to sell. But those are the billion dollar inches with very low price elasticity.
People ask me all the time if there is a Amazon Fulfillment gold rush? Of Course. They are the sellers who are creating basic, “products” but they are creating private label products using the same methodology as everyone else but most are very unlikely to have a sustainable business in a few years.
This is even more of a reason to follow your own path. If you are actually contribute something valuable by creating your own product and adding it unto the market place, people will respond better to your offer.

In 2015 Amazon hit the 30 billion mark in sales. After Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday last year over $4.74 billion was made off of Amazon. So, it’s a no brainier that every retailer is doing there best to establish their presence there.

As a tip consider only work with Alibaba Gold Suppliers, as they tend to be more trustworthy from there long term relationship with Alibaba.
You have your products, and you have a list of suppliers. Now it’s time to start shipping and get down to business.
